My Approach
How I treat anxiety
Anxiety isn't one thing. It runs from everyday worry and overthinking, to panic, to the anxiety tangled up in trauma. Where you land shapes how we work — so rather than forcing one method on everyone, I draw from a handful of proven approaches and match them to you.
You don't need to know any of these by name. That's my job. But if you're curious what's behind the work, here's what I use and why.
For anxiety
The gold standard for treating anxiety. Together we learn to catch the thoughts feeding your anxiety, question them, and change the ones keeping you stuck.
Rather than fighting anxious thoughts, we loosen their grip — so you can stop wrestling with them and move toward what actually matters to you.
Practical skills to step out of the spiral and back into the present, so stress has less of a hold.
Concrete tools for riding out intense emotions, tolerating distress, and steadying yourself when everything feels like too much.
For trauma
A structured, evidence-based approach that helps you work through the stuck beliefs trauma leaves behind.
EMDR — coming soon
I'm currently training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) — a proven method for helping the brain reprocess traumatic memories so they stop hijacking the present — and will be offering it to clients soon.
You don't need to know which of these you need — that's my job. We start where you are, and I bring the right tools to it.
